Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the offline RPG we've been recommending most this year. You lead a small party across a fractured kingdom, and the turn-based combat rewards planning over button-mashing. Positioning matters, elemental weaknesses matter, and even trash fights ask you to think a little.

The writing surprised us. Side quests aren't just fetch tasks — several have branching outcomes that change how villages react to you later. We lost a couple of evenings to it without noticing, which is the highest praise we can give.

Everything is stored locally, so your save is yours and the whole campaign plays without a connection. The download is chunky, but it earns the space.
