About
Pocket Offline started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept recommending each other games for long train rides. We got tired of downloading something promising only to hit a login wall the moment we lost signal, so we began keeping a proper list of titles that run fully offline.,The editorial part is simple: we install a game, play it for at least a few hours, and only write about it once we have a real opinion. No press summaries copied word for word. If a game turns out to be a chore, we say so and move on.,We pick titles across genres on purpose. Some days you want a slow simulator, other days a puzzle to chew on or an RPG to sink into. A good offline library needs variety, so we mix role-playing, strategy, racing, adventure and casual games rather than chasing one trend.,Nobody pays us to feature a game, and we buy or download everything ourselves. The site stays small and honest, which is exactly how we like it.
Markus Feldkamp — Markus has been reviewing mobile games for over a decade and still keeps a phone with airplane mode permanently on for testing. He handles most of the long-form reviews on the site.
